Tibialis Raise – wall supported
Tibialis Raise – wall supported targets the muscles on the front of the lower leg to build better ankle control. Many people feel this quickly because those muscles are often undertrained compared to the calves.
Instructions
Stand with your back against a wall and feet placed slightly forward, heels on the ground. Keep the body upright and core engaged. Lift the toes upward toward the shins while keeping the heels planted. Pause briefly at the top, then lower the feet slowly back to the starting position.
Avoid Common Mistakes
• lifting the heels off the ground
• leaning forward instead of staying upright
• using momentum instead of controlled movement
• moving too fast without control
Variations
• with limited range of motion
• with pause at the top
• single-leg
• slow controlled lowering
• alternating tempo
