Running in place
Running in place reinforces quick feet and cadence without needing space. Keep the contacts light and under the hips to avoid turning it into a knee-lift bounce.
Instructions
Stand upright with relaxed shoulders and arms bent at the elbows. Begin alternating feet quickly, lifting them slightly off the ground as if running. Keep steps light and fast, land under the body, and maintain a steady rhythm.
Avoid Common Mistakes
• overstriding or lifting the feet too high
• excessive forward lean
• stiff arm movement
• heavy, noisy foot contacts
Variations
• slower or faster cadence
• higher knee emphasis
• short burst intervals
• arm-drive focus
• continuous rhythmic sets
