Box Split Jump
Box Split Jump develops explosive drive from a split stance and teaches quick switching under control. Aim for light, quiet contacts—the best reps look sharp, not heavy.
Instructions
Stand in a split stance with one foot on the box and the other on the ground. Lower slightly to prepare, then jump explosively upward and switch the legs in the air. Land softly with the opposite foot on the box and the other on the ground. Absorb the impact and reset for the next repetition.
Avoid Common Mistakes
• landing stiff without absorbing impact
• collapsing the front knee inward
• losing balance during the switch
• using a box that is too high
Variations
• with lower or higher box
• with pause after landing
• slower controlled jumps
• alternating tempo
• reduced jump height
